Bio

Hi there, and welcome to my little corner of Meraki!

‍

Wondering what therapy may look like? My priority is that therapy with me looks like what you need it to look like. Whether it's traditional talk therapy, structured and poised sessions, sitting on the floor with kiddos, or coloring as we chat about the most recent happenings, I try my best to mold myself into the version of me that works best for you. If something doesn't work out the way we envisioned, I welcome feedback so that we can get it right the next time.

‍

In my time as a therapist, I have found purpose in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, child abuse, C-PTSD, self-esteem and confidence, religious trauma, gender and sexuality exploration, ethical non-monogamy and nontraditional relationships, attachment wounds, and codependency within relationships. I am LGBTQIA+ aligned and affirming, and I have enjoyed working with queer individuals, both on their own and alongside their family members, to foster healthy systemic relationships that encourage authenticity and lived truths.

‍

With children (ages 3 and up), I aim to help each child access healing and growth through their own language: play! I do this by combining nondirective play therapy techniques with directive approaches, parent/guardian collaboration, and evidence-based practices. I offer Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to clients ages 3 to 18, through which the child and I process traumatic events that may have contributed to difficult emotions and challenging behaviors (tantrums, conduct disturbances, sleep issues, fears, etc.).

‍

With adolescents, teens, and adults, I enjoy integrating several therapeutic modalities (client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness practices, and attachment theory) into whichever blend best fits your presenting concerns. When requested, I also enjoy incorporating tenets of spirituality (manifestation, energy, and symbolism) and creativity (poetry, music, and hobbies). My favorite moments in therapy happen when you show me a little more of what makes you you.

‍

I hope you feel proud of yourself for making it this far in your search for therapy. It can be daunting to imagine letting a stranger into the darker parts of your mind and your story. If you're open to it, let's tackle those together.
